Welding electrode cap tip is very important in spot welding machine. During welding, cylindrical electrode is used to produce spot welding between the contact surfaces of two overlapping workpieces. During spot welding, first pressurize the workpiece to make close contact, and then connect the current. Under the action of resistance heat, the workpiece contact will melt. After cooling, a solid solder joint will be formed.
Cap tips are most commonly-used type of electrodes for car bodies. Various shapes and materials are available.
